The big one is actually quite purple also, albeit blue-violet rather than red-violet. The photo just doesn't show it very well.

(And I have far too many elephants-- these are just the only fabulously purple ones.)

It may very well be trying its darndest to (baby elephants are much like baby humans in that regard). The thing is, since Dan has his armor on it can't do that much damage, and he's waaaay too softhearted to punch it or anything, so he's resigned himself to the situation for the moment.

Adrian, on the other hand, is reliving fond memories of his youthful days in India..."Dan, could you try to keep down the muttering? It's ruining the ambiance."

...yeah, I think about these things way too hard.
